Mr. Gennaro is undoubtedly the added value of this property, which exceeded every expectation in terms of room, cleanliness, and location. Excellent, just steps from the starting points of the Sassi trails, a clean, quiet city I wasn't expecting! The room was functional and tastefully furnished! The breakfast was generous at the little bar around the corner, also clean, tidy, and equipped with everything you could want! I will gladly return.

We spent six nights here during the week of August 15th, and the experience was exceptional. We can confirm everything stated in the presentation. The property is welcoming and clean, with a spacious, new room and bathroom equipped with every comfort. The location is central, yet accessible outside the restricted traffic zone (ZTL), so you can easily get to the entrance to unload your luggage. There are both paid and free parking nearby, but since we plan to drive a lot to visit Basilicata and Puglia, as well as Matera, we opted for the private parking lot a five-minute walk from the residence (it was definitely money well spent). The property is located on an alleyway that opens onto a central street lined with bars and restaurants, but a very short walk takes you to the historic center and the Sassi. The host, Mr. Gennaro, provided very helpful suggestions, and we thank him.

Everything was perfect and beyond our expectations. Breakfast was impeccable, even though it wasn't served on the premises. The manager was very thorough and attentive to cleanliness. The location was excellent. Highly recommended for a visit to beautiful Matera.

We demos muita fate na school of this local. The B&B is a house close to the center and very well looked after. All reformed and with modern comforts, coffee shop with espresso coffee and some drinks in ice cream for the day to be eaten. As our group was of 7 people, let's go home and let's go all out! Foi muito bom! The quarters were great, the rooms were great and they were very good too! Enfim foi uma excelente hospedagem. Coffee from home was included and was provided at a nearby location. O Gennaro, we received you very well and are very solicitous for all our needs. In order to perceive how kind and caring I am at home and in hospitals, I was extremely meticulous in all the explanations about home, about the city, about tourist places and about excellent restaurants. This is the perfect host! Matera is a neat city, steeped in history and our hospital is perfect! Highly recommended!!

Very comfortable room, great bed and linens, modern bathroom. Location is great and practical, easy to park. Also love that they name the rooms after great photographers and display some of their pictures.

The property is perfectly located, everything is brand new and super clean. It is comfortable, modern, well located, absolutely perfect. The best part is the host, Gennaro, who allowed an early check in, greeted me, went out of his way to help with any requests, and even went to his place to find an adapter that I needed, he is amazing. He also speaks perfect English which made things easier. Can't recommend enough, thanks!

The unique design and use of space in this place need to be seen to be believed! The accommodation is immaculately presented with all modern amenities including a choice of lighting colors for the shower. Matera's wonderful attractions in its ravines are only a short walk away and the breakfast arrangement at the nearby café is lovely … also has availability for private parking for additional €15 a 5 min walk away. The owner was very helpful with his detailed local knowledge of Matera and it's surroundings and personally helped me change a flat tire on the day of departure! Delightful, would definitely opt to say again next time in Matera…thanks for everything!

Extremely nice accommodation and superb location. We can warmly recommend. Also great for two friends or family as there was another double bed in the loft in it's own privacy. The room and excellent bathroom were spacious and coffee machine in the entrance was an extra bonus. Also kettle in the room and water and juice in the fridge. 10 points!!

This isn't our first visit to this stunning city, but it's our first stay at L'Ospite. Ideally located 20 meters from the ZTL (limited traffic zone) (and therefore accessible by car) and 200 meters from the Sassi, L'Ospite is a modern property with a captivating design thanks to its use of mezzanine spaces and soft color schemes. Welcoming, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, the residence is fully accessible with electronic codes and keys, and a Wi-Fi video intercom allows for remote check-in. Breakfast is served at an excellent pastry shop 20 meters away, and the owner is a great resource for recommendations on special places to visit and good food. We made a truly excellent choice, and this residence will be our go-to place in Matera from now on.

Recently renovated residence just a few meters from the Sassi. Very spacious apartment, excellent comfort, and a nice touch was the kettle in the room with a selection of herbal teas. Quiet despite being in the historic center. A pleasant stay in beautiful Matera. Highly recommended.
